My journey of becoming an astrologer

I have been drawn to astrology all my life. The first reading I ever received was on a trip to India, in 1999, and I couldn't believe how accurately this unknown astrologer described me and my life. I remained interested in the stars, but it wasn't until the pandemic that I started studying astrology seriously — first with Emilio Perez in Berlin, then with Graham Ibell in New Zealand and with the Faculty of Astrological Studies in the UK. Today, I offer astrological chart readings, and I also weave astrology into some of my books.

The rational, Saturn-influenced sceptic in me used to say astrology was nothing more than an illusion. But the more I've learned about this ancient art — immersing myself in the language of the stars with its sacred symbols — the quieter this critical voice has become. In every astrological chart, magical connections reveal themselves: between sky and earth, between your own microcosm and the vast empty space. The birth chart tells a story about these connections — a story about accepting what is, and consciously choosing what is yet to come.

Astrology can give us permission to become more who we are in essence,
rather than to try and distort ourselves into being what others, or what society expects us to be.
